The 2013 Kentucky Derby field looks like it’s been pretty much settled.
2013 Kentucky Derby: 20 horse field almost set
The Kentucky Derby seems to have the majority of the horses it needs.

Several horses had to be shifted out of the lineup. Trainer Bob Baffert took out Code West and Govenor Charlie earlier in the week, removing himself from the field. Todd Pletcher (who has plenty of horses in the running) will not put Winning Cause in the running, and Tiz a Minister also was dropped by his trainer.
That allowed Golden Soul to leapfrog into the picture, and Giant Finish became the potential final horse this afternoon. It’s also possible that Fear the Kitten (currently situated behind Giant Finish in the points total) could end up making a bid, although both he and Giant Finish figure to be the long underdogs in this match.
Here are the current horses that could figure to run this weekend’s Kentucky Derby, with profiles of some of the horses courtesy of Matt Gardner of And Down The Stretch They Come.
