Renaming the Yankee Stadium

Elsa

Mark Ulriksen’s created a number of baseball-centric covers for The New Yorker; for example, last week’s, titled “This is 40”:

There’s a nice slide show of Ulriksen’s covers here, many of them Yankees-centric (my favorite is Randy Johnson).

Oh, and here’s an idea I stole from someone ... since the new Yankee Stadium doesn’t feel like Yankee Stadium, maybe it needs a new name. And considering that New Yorker cover, how’s about “Jurassic Park”?

And while we’re at it, why not rename all the other ballparks? Or at least those with ridiculous corporate names? Because I’m pretty sure we can do a lot better, as a species, than O.co Coliseum.
