Girl throwing first pitch at Rays game is surprised by dad, also adorable

The USO organized this great big thing to make this nine-year-old girl’s day. They took her out of school and told her she’d be going to a Rays game, then had her dad on the videoboard to say hello.

She then threw out the first pitch to who she thought was a Rays player, but instead, it was her dad, recently returned from Afghanistan, and this is just so adorable I can’t even help finish the story, just watch the video.

I like it when life is fun and cute and sweet and people are nice. This was one of those times, and it is a great thing to end the week on I think, don’t you?
