Scattered showers will continue overnight and rain will be increase as we go through out the morning Saturday. The rain is expected to last most if not all day. This will cause sloppy, muddy conditions for the 139th Kentucky Derby. It is possible that Churchill Downs receives between a quarter to a half an inch of rain by the time the Derby actually takes place at 6:24 p.m. EDT.
Saturday’s weather forecast is for cloudy skies and off and on rain showers. Some of these showers will be heavy and steady especially from midday into the afternoon. Temperatures will also be chilly with nearly steady temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. The wind will be out of the east between 5 and 15 mph. The conditions are going to be muddy and sloppy, which means a slow track for the Kentucky Derby
