Kentucky Derby afternoon weather update: Rain will continue
Rain showers will continue for the remainder of the afternoon and evening for the 2013 Kentucky Derby.

Steady showers will continue to stream in from the south for the remainder of the afternoon and into the evening. All of this rain is part of a much larger storm system centered over Missouri and Arkansas. Louisville and Churchill Downs is on the far eastern edge of this rain, and these rain showers are not expected to end before the start of the Kentucky Derby. Post time for the Derby is at 6:24 p.m. ET and I fully expect the light steady rain to be occurring.
