The North Carolina Tar Heels are still the number one seed in this week's rankings. North Carolina finished the regular season 12-3, earned the fifth-seed overall and will face Lehigh in the first round of the tournament.
NCAA Lacrosse rankings 2013: North Carolina stays on top
The Tar Heels didn’t end up with the number one ranking in the NCAA tournament though.


The Syracuse Orange jumped up five spots to the two spot and are currently 13-3. Syracuse earned the top seed and will face Bryant in the first round. Ohio State also made a seven spot leap to third place overall, and are currently seeded in the third position in the tournament against Towson.
Duke rose from sixth to fourth place and will draw Loyola Marymount, who fell from fourth to ninth overall. Denver fell from third to sixth and will matchup with Albany. Cornell dropped from second to eighth in the rankings and will play sixth-seeded Maryland, who moved up from eighth to fifth.
