Canucks vs. Sharks Game 4 update: Vancouver takes lead, then blows it
The Sharks and Canucks are headed to overtime.
Here's how the third period went down. Daniel Sedin had a perfect chance to tie up the game, but Lady Luck betrayed him.
Just in case you don’t understand how close that was to going in...
Yeah. It looked like that was going to signal the end for the Canucks. Then Andrew Desjardins took a needless roughing minor, and something seemed to click for Vancouver.
Alex Burrows scored on a wrister from the Sedins to tie it up at two. Then just a minute or so later, Alex Edler fired this cannon from the blueline. Antti Niemi had no chance.
Momentum turned yet again when Kevin Bieksa foolishly cross-checked Tommy Wingels into the boards. Bieksa watched from the penalty box as Joe Pavelski tied it up at 3-3.
And that sent it to overtime. Vancouver has another chance to stay alive in the playoffs.
