BLAPPPPP. This dunk on Brandon Knight basically dominated the world of sports discourse for an entire week. I have never, ever seen a defender so thoroughly trashed. It’s sort of the “SEND IT IN, JEROME” of our generation, only perhaps even more spectacular, because we witnessed the pride, hopes and dreams of a man’s soul shatter and bounce against the floor, rather than a mere sheet of glass.
Watch as his teammates mark the Hell out and run around and make with the airplane-arms. There’s just a lot to love here.

OK, there are three layers here. On top: the Nationals’ middle infield going on strike. Under that: pitcher Dan Haren’s “well, god-dangit” body posture upon seeing his completely catchable throw fall in center field.
And under that, and perhaps best of all: Torii Hunter turning around and ripping off his helmet before he has the chance to see the ball sail into nowhere. He falls out of the GIF just before he realizes what’s going on. There’s just no room for good news in this GIF, you see.
