It’s pretty impressive, but I still think Brandon Knight did something admirable in contesting it rather than stepping back out of fear of getting posterized. I haven’t gone back to see tape of the whole play or anything, but it looks like he came off the weakside to help because his teammates weren’t tracking Jordan’s cut at all. His last stand in the paint was hapless and ill-fated, but it came from the right idea. It’s not his fault that he’s 6-3 and being put in that position by the rest of his defense.
If we accept that premise, I just can’t take a lot of joy from that gif.
