It’s not been ideal baseball weather Monday in Omaha, Neb., where severe weather has threatened Game 1 of the College World Series finals between Mississippi State and UCLA. As of 4:15 ET, the game is still scheduled for it’s original 8 p.m. start time, though chances of storms will continue for most of the night.

Storms rolled through Omaha Monday morning, but the weather is expected to clear up for the evening’s national championship game between Mississippi State and UCLA.

According to weather.com, a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms will extend from game time until early Tuesday morning. There has been no word from the NCAA or tournament officials.
UPDATE: Weather is clear in Omaha 15 minutes before first pitch. Game 1 will kick off on time without a hitch.

The weather threat comes ten days after storms shortened the tournament’s opening ceremony, though no games were affected.
