MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- In a strange turn of events following Saturday night’s Southern Super Series event at Montgomery Motor Speedway, Super Late Model drivers Stephen Nasse and Spencer Davis swapped cars before leaving the track, SB Nation learned.

Nasse finished fifth and Davis 18th in the AR Bodies 125, with neither driver particularly happy with how their race or season has gone thus far. As a result, they’ve agreed to swap cars to see what they can learn and perhaps apply to their own cars later in the season.

As you can see above, neither driver is sure if they will drive the other’s car but could end up doing just that when the Southern Super Series returns for another Pensacola/Mobile doubleheader on June, 21 and 22.

Below you will find a video of Saturday night’s podium celebration, featuring race-winner Augie Grill, Bubba Pollard and Mike Garvey.
