The week of the 2013 Belmont Stakes has arrived, and the post position draw for the third leg of the Triple Crown is set to take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET.
Belmont Stakes 2013 schedule: Post draw set for Wednesday
The post position draw for the 2013 Belmont Stakes will be held on Wednesday, with the actual race on Saturday evening.


The 145th running of the Belmont Stakes will be on Saturday, with coverage beginning on NBC at 5 p.m. and the actual race beginning at about 6:40 p.m. The race features a $1 million purse and will include the two winners of the previous two legs of the Triple Crown, Orb and Oxbow.
Prior to the Belmont Stakes, there will be a series of undercard races throughout the day, with the first race starting at 11:35 a.m. The races are as follows, with the order still to be determined (more info at the official website of the Belmont Stakes):
- $500,000 Woodford Reserve Manhattan Handicap featuring 3-year-olds and up on a 1.25-mile dirt track
- $400,000 Woody Stephens featuring 3-year-olds on a seven furlongs dirt track
- $500,000 Longines Just A Game featuring fillies and mares on a one mile turf track
- $400,000 True North Handicap featuring 3-year-olds and up on a six furlongs dirt track
