Preview: All eyes are on Elmont, New York this weekend, with Justify going for history in the 150th running of the Belmont Stakes, trying to complete the elusive Triple Crown. But that’s just the main race on Saturday, with several other races on the docket, including five other Grade-I stakes.
Among the other races on Saturday are the $1.2 million Metropolitan Handicap, a 1-mile jaunt for horses three years and older, and the $1 million Manhattan Stakes, a 1...-mile race on turf among horses four years and up.
The first race on Saturday is 11:35 a.m. ET, one of 13 on the day. NBCSN will begin coverage at 2 p.m. ET, then things shift to NBC at 4 p.m.. The Belmont Stakes has a post time of 6:46 p.m., with Justify a huge favorite. Among the main challengers are Bravazo, who finished second in the Preakness Stakes three weeks ago.
