Remnants of tropical storm Andrea will be moving up the east coast today into Saturday. This has the potential of dropping 2 to 4 inches of rain through Saturday morning. That will make for a very muddy and wet track surface.

Moisture and rain associated with tropical storm Andrea will cause muddy racing conditions this weekend for the Belmont Stakes


FRIDAY WEATHER FORECAST:
Rain showers, steady and heavy at times. Breezy as well with winds out of the east between 10 to 20 mph. Rain amounts could range from 1 to 2 inches during the day and an additional 2 inches overnight into Saturday morning. It will be cool with highs in the upper 60s.
SATURDAY - BELMONT STAKES WEATHER FORECAST:
Rain showers are likely during the morning but a break is expected from late morning into the afternoon and evening. While there will be a break there is still a chance of a scattered rain shower in the afternoon and evening. Winds will be out of the northwest and still breezy between 10 and 20 mph. Afternoon temperatures a little warmer around the low to mid 70s.
