FedEx Cup standings 2013: Tiger Woods leads the way as playoffs near

The PGA Tour playoffs are only about a month away.

Andy Lyons

After this weekend’s action, there were no changes to the top 10 of the 2013 FedEx Cup standings. Tiger Woods remains on top despite playing in fewer events than any other golfer near the top of the standings; Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker, Phil Mickelson and Billy Horschel round out the top five.

With about a month remaining in the regular season, those players can all rest easy about making the playoffs. The Wyndham Championship in mid-August marks the end of the regular season schedule, and from there the playoffs begin.

The top 125 players in the standings earn berths to the postseason, and the field will be whittled down with each subsequent playoff tournament. There are four events in the postseason, culminating in the Tour Championship, which will feature only the top 30 remaining players.

Here’s a look at the current top 10:

1. Tiger Woods
2. Matt Kuchar
3. Brandt Snedeker
4. Phil Mickelson
5. Billy Horschel
6. Justin Rose
7. Bill Haas
8. Kevin Streelman
9. Boo Weekley
10. Jason Day
