The Milwaukee Bucks have locked up emerging center Larry Sanders, giving him a four-year extension that’ll kick in before the 2014-15 season.

USA TODAY SportsThe sides had until Oct. 31 to work out the extension, but were able to end negotiations well before training camp, which begins in early October. The Bucks will not have to worry about Sanders demanding more on an open market as a restricted free agent next summer.
Sanders averaged 9.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game. He finished seventh in Defensive Player of the Year voting and is considered one of the league’s best interior defenders.
