Injuries are trending around the NFL following Week 1 of the regular season. From the Patriots' Danny Amendola to the Saints' Brodrick Bunkley, teams around the league are filling their injury reports in anticipation for Week 2 matchups. However, one prominent player is denying his status as the "walking wounded."
NFL news roundup: Suh cleared from incident, RG3 says he is 100 percent
The injury reports are filling up around the league with Week 2 just around the corner. We take a look at the latest headlines and injuries in the NFL.

That and more in our look back at Wednesday’s NFL headlines.
The Lions' Ndamukong Suh has had his share of controversy this week, but a police investigation in Michigan offers some good news for Detroit's defensive tackle. The former first overall pick was accused of threatening a cable repairman last month in Birmingham. However, after reviewing the evidence, police dismissed the charges against Suh.
The Nebraska alum is facing a $100,000 fine from the NFL for his low block on the Vikings' John Sullivan on an interception return by Suh's teammate DeAndre Levy. This is the sixth fine of Suh's NFL career and he is currently appealing the penalty.
Despite his seemingly lethargic first half against the Eagles in Week 1, Robert Griffin III denies his early-game woes were due to injury. The second-year quarterback missed the entire preseason as he recovered from an ACL surgery from earlier this year. He posted 329 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Redskins' 33-27 loss to the Eagles at home.
According to Tom Garrett of Hogs Haven, RG3’s early struggles were likely due to lack of practice:
Robert Griffin had a poor first half, but that was to be expected from someone who hadn’t taken a single snap in preseason. All things considered, he righted the ship pretty quickly.
The Patriots are likely to be without two of Tom Brady's top weapons against the New York Jets in Week 2's edition of Thursday Night Football on NFL Network. Tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Danny Amendola are doubtful for the game on a short week. Gronkowski is still recovering from back and forearm surgeries, while Amendola injured his groin in New England's Week 1 win over the Bills.
For the Jets, starting pass rusher Quinton Coples (ankle) has been ruled out of the contest. He will be joined on the sidelines by quarterback Mark Sanchez (shoulder) and wide receiver Jeremy Kerley (concussion), as the Jets head to New England.
According to Rich MacLeod of Gang Green Nation, the Kerley absence was to be expected after the Jets made moves this week:
When New York re-signed receiver Ben Obamanu on Tuesday, it appeared as if this was inevitable for Kerley. We’ll see how much this affects the offense and Geno Smith. The hope is that Kerley will not miss much time.
The Saints will be missing another starter in the center of their defense, following a leg injury to nose tackle Brodrick Bunkley. The veteran run-stopper was injured in New Orleans' win over the Falcons in Week 1. The injury will reportedly keep Bunkley out of the lineup for weeks, and rookie John Jenkins will have to fill his spot.
The Saints are also missing inside linebacker Jonathan Vilma, who is on the injured reserve but has been given the "designated to return" tag.
Teams are calling Brandon Lloyd's agent, but are getting turned down by the veteran wide receiver. The Patriots, 49ers and Jets are among the six teams that have contacted Lloyd, who feels like he is not in the physical or mental shape to play in the NFL this season. At 32 years old, he is coming off a one-year deal with the Patriots. Last season, Lloyd caught 74 passes for 911 yards and four touchdowns.
David Fucillo of Niners Nation is not surprised that San Francisco gave Lloyd a call:
The team has been kicking the tires on quarterbacks and wide receivers. The team has some question marks in terms of depth, so I imagine we’ll see plenty more try-outs happening as the team figures out how its depth is shaking out.
