NFL odds and lines 2013: Titans vs. Texans

The Texans and Titans both enter Week 2 with the possibility of starting the season at 2-0. The Texans are coming off a comeback road win over the Chargers, while the Titans were able to upset the Steelers in Pittsburgh for their first victory. After impressive road wins against conference competition, the Titans and Texans will clash a divisional matchup in Houston.

The Texans are a 10.5-point favorite against the Titans at home, according to OddsShark.com.

Houston beat the San Diego Chargers 31-28 after scoring 24-straight points in the second half of the Monday Night Football feature. Quarterback Matt Schaub threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns, while running backs Arian Foster and Ben Tate combined to add 112 yards on the ground. Wide receiver Andre Johnson was impressive as well, catching 12 passes for 146 yards. The Texans will need their defense to step up in order to manhandle the Titans in Week 2.

The Titans held the Steelers under double digits in a 16-9 road victory. Tennessee’s defense came up big for the Titans with five total sacks and an interception. With the Texans showing a scoring process, Tennessee will need to rely on its defense again on Sunday. Quarterback Jake Locker also needs to step up, as he was held to just 125 passing yards in Week 1.
