NFL odds and lines 2013: Browns vs. Ravens

The odds are in favor of the home team in this battle featuring AFC North rivals.

Matt Sullivan

The Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns will rekindle their AFC North divisional rivalry in Week 2. Both teams are coming off double-digit loses to AFC foes and are looking to get back on track with a division win. The Ravens were stomped by the Broncos in Week 1, while the Browns could not keep up with the Miami Dolphins.

Despite the Raven’s season-opening embarrassment, they are favored by 7 points against the visiting Browns, according to OddsShark.com.

The Ravens will look to compensate for their 0-1 record with a dominant performance against the Browns at home. Quarterback Joe Flacco had two interceptions against the Broncos and will have be careful with the ball against Cleveland. His favorite target, wide receiver Torrey Smith, will have to pick up the slack with Jacoby Jones out of the lineup due to injury. Undrafted rookie wide receiver Marlon Brown will also be vital in the Ravens' offensive success moving forward. The Ravens defense will need to improve, as well, after allowing a record-tying seven touchdowns by Peyton Manning in Week 1.

The Browns will be looking to pull off the upset in Week 2 against Baltimore. Cleveland was blown out by Miami in Week 1, and quarterback Brandon Weeden's three first-half interceptions were partially to blame. The Browns led early but could not keep pace with the Dolphins' passing attack. In order to beat Baltimore, the Browns will need to run the ball with running back Trent Richardson and put up points.
