Veteran offensive guard Nate Livings will be looking for work following his release from the Cowboys on Thursday. The former Bengal was initially placed on injured reserve during final cuts last weekend due to a knee injury. The Cowboys added veteran Brian Waters earlier in the week to replace Livings, who started all 16 games for Dallas last season.
Cowboys release G Nate Livings
Dallas has released Nate Livings after placing him on IR just a week ago.

Livings signed a five-year deal worth $18.75 million with $6.2 million in guaranteed money last offseason. Prior to joining the Cowboys, he played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2006-11. An undrafted player out of LSU, Livings has started 63 of the 68 games that he has played in during his career.
The team also announced the release of defensive tackle Travis Chappelear on Thursday. He and Livings both received injury settlements prior to their release.
