49ers linebacker Patrick Willis is ready to rock for San Francisco's clash on Sunday against the Packers. Willis practiced on Wednesday without extra padding on his right hand, according to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com. The Pro Bowler broke his hand in late July and was forced to miss the entire preseason due to the injury.
Patrick Willis injury: 49ers LB ready for Packers
San Francisco’s Pro Bowl linebacker will be playing without added support on Sunday against the Packers.

Despite the healing hand, Willis was not on the 49ers’ official injury report given to the league this week. The six-year veteran has not fully recovered from the surgery on the broken bone in his right hand, but he believes he is close to regaining full strength.
“They say it takes eight weeks for a bone to completely heal,” Willis said to Maiocco. “This Friday, it’ll be five weeks since the surgery. But the doctor said it looks good. That’s a good thing.”
The 49ers will host the Packers on Sunday at Candlestick Park. You can watch the game live on Fox at 4:25 p.m. ET.
