Winter Olympics 2014: Lindsey Jacobellis leads U.S. Snowboard team
America’s snowboard team is expected to bring home some medals in Sochi.
Lindsey Jacobellis is among the decorated veterans on the roster. Jacobellis won the silver medal eight years ago in Turin for snowboard cross. She’s also a seven-time gold medalist at the X-Games, most recently in 2011. She currently ranks second in the World Cup standings only behind Canada’s Dominique Maltais.
Nate Holland is a two-time Olympian and another veteran on the Cross Team. Jacobellis and Holland were already guaranteed spots, along with Alex Deibold, Trevor Jacob and Nick Baumgartner. Baumgartner also participated in the 2010 Olympics. Faye Gulini and Jackie Hernandez were added on Sunday, according to the official USA Olympics website.
