Though he's only recorded one save in his entire career, free agent Andrew Miller could be in line to receive "closer money" this offseason, per ESPN's Jerry Crasnick. He's coming off a season in which he went 5-5, with a 2.02 ERA and 103 strikeouts against only 17 walks in 62⅓ innings.
Andrew Miller is going to cash in this winter
Whether it’s as a closer or a setup man, Miller will make plenty.

Miller has established himself as a premier reliever over the past few seasons, showing the ability to get left- and right-handed batters out — a necessity if he’s going to emerge as a closer. The question will be whether a club will be willing to pay him for a job he’s never done before. Both Chicago clubs have shown interest, per 670thescore’s Bruce Levine
LH reliever Andrew Miller drawing interest from many teams including the White Sox and Cubs . Can set up or close .
— Bruce Levine (@MLBBruceLevine) November 11, 2014 The White Sox have a dire need at closer, while the Cubs have the flexibility of keeping Hector Rondon in that role or sliding him into a setup capacity.
It is unlikely those are the only suitors for Miller, though. The New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers and Detroit Tigers are all on the hunt for relief help. The No. 6 overall pick from 2006 has the added bonus of not costing the team that signs him a draft pick, since he was traded during the season. This could help the assertion that Miller will receive "closer money" even if he doesn't end up in the role.
