‘Thursday Night Football,’ schedule and results: Raiders beat Chiefs, 24-20, for 1st win of the season

Sio Moore and Khalil Mack were so excited about the Oakland Raiders being on the verge of their first victory of the season that they forgot the game was still going on. That’s the only explanation for this prolonged celebration that forced Oakland to call a timeout before getting hit with an offsides penalty late in the fourth quarter in its win over the Chiefs.

Granted, this is Week 12 and the Raiders are finally getting off the schneid. It’s been a while, so we can’t really blame them. Still, classic Raiders.

After the Raiders had taken a 17-3 lead in the third quarter, the Chiefs scored 17 straight points and the Raiders were staring 0-11 in the face. It looked like the Silver and Black had managed to choke away a golden opportunity to pick up a win ...

The 7:21 march, which included three third-down conversions and one fourth-down conversion, was easily the Raiders’ longest drive of the season. They even managed to overcome their own incompetence in the game’s closing moments.
