The Oakland Raiders seem to have finally found a running back ... so it's only fitting that he's been knocked out of Thursday night's game with a possible concussion.
Latavius Murray ruled out with concussion
The Raiders running back had just busted a 90-yard touchdown run before a big hit to the head sent him to the locker room.
UPDATE: Latavius Murray has been diagnosed with a concussion and will not return to the game.
Murray, who exploded for 112 yards and two touchdowns -- one of them a 90-yarder -- in the first half against the Kansas City Chiefs, has been taken into the locker room and is being evaluated for a concussion, the team announced. Murray took a brutal shot to the head in the second quarter while trying to run the ball up the middle. Murray had the ball jarred loose on the play (the Raiders recovered) and looked dazed as he made his way off the field.
The injury once again leaves Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew as the Raiders' primary ball carriers. The two aging -- and clearly declining -- veterans have made up an Oakland run game that ranks worst in the NFL.
