If you watched the fight on Saturday between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri it wasn’t a surprise that Pacquiao came away with the victory. Instead, the most surprising aspect of the result is the fight went to a decision. Pacquiao came out strong early and didn’t relent on his way to a dominating victory.

It was all Manny Pacquiao on Saturday as he scored a unanimous decision victory against Chris Algieri.
The win, which came by 119-103, 119-103, 120-102 scores, included six knockdowns. It appeared Pacquiao was going to end the fight in the ninth round when he knocked Algieri down with strong shot. Algieri was able to get up and continue the fight, but went down to the mat again not long after. Following an eight-count, Algieri got up again and continued the fight. Despite Pacquiao’s efforts, he couldn’t score the knockout and instead had to settle for a lopsided decision victory.
Pacquiao VS. MAYWEATHER?
Appearing to be in excellent form, the attention has already turned to who Pacquiao may fight next with Floyd Mayweather’s name once again being floated as a possibility. Pacquiao didn’t help to calm any speculation, saying he’d like to fight Mayweather next in the post fight comments.
