Watch Gordon Hayward’s buzzer beater to beat the Cavaliers

It’s only fitting that the Utah Jazz won this game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on this Gordon Hayward buzzer beater. They deserved it.

They outplayed the Cavaliers, who survived despite setting a franchise low for assists in a game. Kyrie Irving submitted one of the weirder stat lines you’ll ever see -- 34 points, one rebound, zero assists -- yet hit wild shots to keep Cleveland alive.

But things looked bleak when LeBron James couldn’t even score on Hayward one on one near the basket in the final half minute.

I don’t get it either.

That seemed like the Cavaliers last chance, but they manufactured another one when James hit a fadeaway three in the corner to cut the deficit to one. Two Jazz free throws later, this happened.

The three-shot foul was called on Derrick Favors even though referees aren’t supposed to let players jump into defenders like that anymore. James sank all three, but all that did was set up Hayward’s game-winner and this endearing postgame interview.
