LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers lost again, this time to the Utah Jazz on a Gordon Hayward buzzer beater. In the nightcap, Steph Curry poured in 28 points to lead the Warriors over the Clippers, 121-104.
Hayward prolongs Cleveland’s misery

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY SportsThe game-winner capped off a dynamite performance from Hayward. The $63 million man finished with 21 points and seven assists while shooting 7-of-12, and he had several other highlight reel plays besides the buzzer-beater. Hayward gave James a taste of his own medicine by executing a superb chase down block (it may have been goaltending, but whatever), and the 24-year-old stonewalled the four-time MVP at the basket on a key late possession.
It all starts with James, who hasn’t looked much like himself to start the season. He was better against the Jazz with 31 points, but he shot under 50 percent for the fourth straight game. His defense again left a lot to be desired, and he found himself on the ground on the final play.

When even Reggie Evans is hitting jumpers and celebrating with finger gunz, you know things are going well.

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY SportsIt’s only fitting that the Utah Jazz won this game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on this Gordon Hayward buzzer beater. They deserved it.
They outplayed the Cavaliers, who survived despite setting a franchise low for assists in a game. Kyrie Irving submitted one of the weirder stat lines you’ll ever see -- 34 points, one rebound, zero assists -- yet hit wild shots to keep Cleveland alive.

Gordon Hayward hit LeBron James with a taste of his own medicine:
That’s very close to a goaltend -- the ball may have hit the backboard before Hayward got to it -- but it wasn’t called as such and it stings just the same.

Hornets-Heat is getting a little chippy. Lance Stephenson got a flagrant foul for ... well, what do you call this?
He kinda pushed Mario Chalmers’ fist with his face? It’s not a punch, but it is punch-like, and Chalmers sold it with aplomb. Stephenson got a flagrant-one for that.

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY SportsRose’s health is one of the biggest questions of the NBA season. The 2011 MVP has played only 10 games in each of the last two seasons combined thanks to a torn ACL and a torn meniscus in separate knees. Rose looked terrific in the preseason and was playing well against Cleveland before exiting due to injury, scoring 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting.
The Bulls are in the midst of four games in five nights,a stretch that started with the victory over the Magic on Tuesday. Chicago is 3-1 this season with their only loss coming to Cleveland on Halloween night.
