LeBron James had to leave his own homecoming game against the Miami Heat after tweaking his foot following a loose ball scramble into the crowd, but he eventually returned to the game after suffering “left leg tightness.” (The Cavaliers wouldn’t tell ESPN’s Doris Burke what was happening, saying it was “a secret” for some reason).

James initially stayed in the game for one play, but eventually asked to call a timeout and immediately ran over to the bench to be checked out by the Cavaliers’ trainer. He went back to the locker room.

James was chasing down an errant Kevin Love outlet pass that sailed into the crowd. As he jumped over seats, he landed awkwardly on his feet. James was starring after a nervous start, scoring 21 points on 10 shots while adding eight assists. He was warmly received by Heat fans on his way out to the court.
