The winners in the hound, toy, non-sporting and herding groups were determined on Monday in the 2014 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, as a bloodhound, miniature pinscher, poodle and cardigan welsh corgi were named winners in the respective groups.

A bloodhound, miniature pinscher, poodle, Cardigan Welsh corgi earned best in group honors on Monday at the Westminster Dog Show.


GCH Flessner’s International S’Cess snagged the honor in the hound group, as the 3-year-old bloodhound edged GCH Sporting Fields Bahama Sands, a whippet, for the top spot. Behind them were a basset hound and Irish wolfhound that finished third and fourth.
In the toy category, it was GCH Marlex Classic Red Glare that came away on top, ahead of a cavalier King Charles spaniel, a pomeranian and pekingese. It was GCH Brighton Lakeridge Encore that won the non-sporting group, as the standard poodle edged a Tibetan spaniel, miniature poodle and Dalmatian.
GCH Riverside Telltail Coco Posh rounded out the day’s group results with a victory in the herding group. The Cardigan Welsh corgi was selected ahead of a puli, German shepherd dog, and old English sheepdog for the top spot.
The results for the sporting, working and terrier groups will be determined on Tuesday, as will the winners of the best in show judging.
