Westminster Dog Show 2014 results: Sporting, working and terrier winners announced
A wire fox terrier stole the show at Day 2 of the Westminster dog show.

The sporting dogs were up first with 4-year-old GCH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire winning top honors in the group. The Irish water spaniel won the group, beating out Ch Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, a cocker spaniel, and GCH Kalm Sea’s To Have And To Hold, a golden retriever. This is the first time in three years a spaniel has won the sporting group. A German wirehaired pointer won last year with an Irish setter winning in 2012.
For the third time in four years, a Portuguese water dog took home first place in the working group category. GCH Claircreek Impression De Matisse won this year, making it back-to-back wins for the breed. The 2-year-old beat out GCH Willow Ridges Risky Business, a mastiff.
GCH Afterall Painting the Sky captured the top honor in the terrier group. The win makes back-to-back wins for fox terriers, with the breed winning three of the last four years. Those wins were captured by smooth fox terriers while Sky got the win for the wire fox terrier breed. Good Time Charlie, a skye terrier and Simply Sinful, a border terrier, finished second and third, respectively. It was a busy night for Sky; she also took home Best in Show honors.
