How to watch Sochi Olympics online, TV schedule and more
There is plenty of men’s ice hockey on the Thursday schedule, and plenty of ways for Americans to catch the games live, presuming you’re willing to wake up early.

Day 8 of the Winter Olympics promises plenty of exciting hockey action, along with the continuation of curling and the ever-popular figure skating. Here’s the television rundown for American audiences.
For most Americans, the obvious draw is the US men’s ice hockey team, which makes its Sochi debut early on Wednesday. They face Slovakia at 7:30 a.m. ET, and that game can be seen live on NBCSN. Before that game starts, viewers will be treated to a match between Finland and Austria, which begins at 3 a.m. ET. Canada, a heavy medal favorite, also starts their 2014 run when they face Norway at 12 p.m. That game can be seen on USA Network.
Hockey is the main event for Thursday, but there are some other things going on. Curling keeps chugging along, although only one round robin match can be seen live when the US men face Great Britain. Biathlon and cross country have one medal event each, and figure skating features the men’s short program.
Here’s the complete television schedule. All events online can be caught at NBCOlympics.com if you have a cable or satellite subscription. Times are listed in ET. As always, NBC’s primetime replay begins at 8 p.m. ET.
