World Series of Asphalt Championship Structure

With seven Super Late Model races in nine nights, countless number of points are available for those chasing a championship in the World Series of Asphalt at New Smyrna Speedway.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL -- The Super Late Model portion of the World Series of Asphalt kicks off on Friday night and runs through Saturday, Feb. 22 -- the night before the Daytona 500.

The first six races will be 35-lap sprints all leading up to the 100-lap Bruce Gowland Memorial 100 that will serve as the deciding race for those racing all the way through Speedweeks. Those expected to race for the championship include Kyle Benjamin, Spencer Davis, Ross Kenseth, Steve Wallace and defending champion Ryan Moore.

The points payout for each position for all seven races is as follows:

1st - 50 points

2nd - 48 points

3rd - 47 points

4th - 46 points

5th - 45 points

Each position afterwards drops by one point. Tiebreakers are decided by second-place finishes, third-places etc.
