Winter Olympic curling results: Team USA records win and loss on Thursday
Great Britain was too much on the men’s side, but Team USA recorded a win on Thursday in the women’s event.

The round robin in Curling continued on Thursday and it was a disappointing game for Team USA in the men’s draw, where they were tasked with taking on Great Britain. The story was better on the women’s side, but the podium will not be possible.
Men’s
The sixth session on the ice saw four games take place, including Team USA taking on Great Britain. It was a game the British controlled from the first end, forcing the American team to play catchup. They managed to reduce the gap to two stones in the seventh end, but saw that evaporate with another score by Britain in the eighth.
Team USA fell to 1-3 with their 5-3 loss, making their chances at a medal slim. Sweden and Canada are shaping up to be the team’s to beat, both sitting at 3-1.

Things went much better for Team USA in the women’s draw, where they beat Japan to improve their record in Sochi to 1-3. The women scored a total of four points in two stone ends, consistently freezing Japan and ensuring they would land their first victory of these winter Olympics. Canada is the team to beat, and continued its unbeaten streak on Thursday.
There wont be a medal for Team USA in curling, but this was a very tough draw against a lot of veteran teams.
