Winter Olympics 2014 curling schedule: More round robin fun on Friday
Curling continues with a combined 11 matches on Friday. We are coming close to the end of qualification rounds, so the games are getting more important than ever. Here’s your complete schedule for the day.

The curling round robin events have reached the halfway point, and things start to heat up as the teams jockey for a position in the semifinal round.
The men start the day with a round of matches starting at 12 a.m. ET. The United States beat Denmark the other night to finally get its first win of the games, but it was unable to build on that, falling to Great Britain, 5-3, the next match. Sitting in seventh place, it has two matches on the day against 0-4 Germany and 1-4 Russia. This is USA’s best chance to get back into contention if it can find some consistency.
The biggest match of this round is Canada vs. Norway. The Canadians, heavy medal favorites before the games, have stumbled a bit and are in fifth place with a 3-2 record. The Norwegians are sitting in fourth at 3-1. This will be a crucial match that could determine who gets that final spot in the semis. China is looking to stay undefeated when it takes on Sweden, who are currently tied for second place with the Brits. The Chinese will face Norway later in the day, which should be another marquee matchup.
The women start their round at 5 a.m. The Americans take on Denmark in a match between the bottom two teams in qualification play. Team USA is a huge longshot to advance out of this round after a 1-4 start. Elsewhere, there are four teams tied for fourth place, with Great Britain, Japan, South Korea and China all sporting a 2-2 record. Those teams will all play each other Friday, looking to clear up that logjam.
