How to watch Sochi Olympics online, TV schedule and more
The United States and Russia tangle in men’s hockey, women’s hockey sees two quarterfinal games, men’s skeleton gets the live treatment mid-morning and so much more.

It’s the United States. It’s Russia. It’s hockey. Twice. OK, they don’t play twice in one day -- that would be dumb -- but the NBC Sports Network is airing the game live at 7 a.m. ET, then again for all the people who can’t, y’know, wake up that early and watch a full hockey game at 6 p.m. Set your alarms or your DVRs, whatever it takes. If we play our cards right, Mike Eruzione is going to charge out of the stands onto the ice without his shirt on during the second period and try to steal Alex Ovechkin’s stick. DO IT, MIKE.
On the women’s side of the ice -- not that we advocate segregating the ice by gender into sides, it’s just an expression -- you can also watch two quarterfinal games live on Saturday, with Scandinavian rivals Sweden and Finland locking horns (what horns?) at 3 a.m. and Russia facing Switzerland at 7:30 a.m. Both of those games are on MSNBC. Winner of Sweden-Finland gets control of the Gulf of Bothnia for a year.
It may just be a coincidence that the USA men’s curling team is off for the day and all of a sudden there’s no men’s curling scheduled for any television coverage on Saturday, but it’s not as if women’s curling is inherently worse or anything, and there are four matches on tap. Obviously USA-Sweden will draw the most eyeballs here, even if it’s tape-delayed until early evening.
Our sleeper pick for best TV of the day: men’s skeleton at 10 a.m. on the NBC Sports Network.
