Sweden vs. Slovenia hockey, Winter Olympics 2014: Game time, TV schedule and more
The men’s hockey quarterfinal begins on Wednesday, with Sweden vs. Slovenia being the first match on the schedule. See the game time and where you can watch it.

The Olympic men’s hockey tournament kicks into high gear on Wednesday with the quarterfinal round. Four games are set to take place, and the first one on the schedule features Sweden taking on Slovenia. The game starts at 3 a.m. ET and can be seen on NBCSN.
The Swedes had little trouble in group play, making quick work of their three matches and bypassing the qualification round to advance straight to the quarterfinal. Erik Karlsson of the Ottawa Senators has led the way for Sweden with three goals and two assists.
Slovenia had a bit of a bumpier ride to the medal rounds. They struggled in group play, winning just one game and getting outscored, 6-11. They managed to advance to the quarterfinal by taking care of Austria, 4-0, in the qualification round. The Slovenians will be big underdogs against Sweden, but stranger things have happened in these Olympic games, and it should be a decent appetizer for the rest of the day’s action.
