A breakup and subsequent feud has been rumored for Cody Rhodes and Goldust since they became a tag team, but that looks to be on hold. They scored a clean win over Curtis Axel and Ryback on the Elimination Chamber pre-show.
Elimination Chamber results: Cody Rhodes and Goldust breakup on hold after win
Curtis Axel and Ryback are the most intimidating jobbers in WWE.

The Rhodes Brothers were the big babyface tag team of the fall and winter, running with the titles after winning their jobs back as part of the initial Authority storyline, but they’d been dropped into temporary ‘creative has nothing for you’ hell for this event. Curtis Axel and Ryback are a completely different story -- they’re perpetually in ‘creative has nothing for you’ hell. But hey, they’re all good wrestlers, so we’re not complaining.
Incredibly, this match featured a perfectly executed hurricanrana from Goldust, who is 44 years old and has never been a high-flyer. The ending was a standard one, with Cody hitting Cross Rhodes on Axel and pinning him. So much for that Rhodes Brothers breakup, huh?
And as a bonus, here’s JBL’s awesome walkout to start the show.
