John Daly has won a couple of majors and will try to lift his second claret jug when he meets up with Tiger Woods at Hoylake in two weeks. But the long-ball hitter who has led the PGA Tour in driving and was ninth the last year he was eligible to rank (2012) is known more these days for his colorful couture than his golfing prowess.
John Daly and his star-spangled pants make the cut at Greenbrier Classic
John Daly and his flashy britches are playing the weekend at the Greenbrier after the two-time major champion makes his third straight cut on the PGA Tour.

Still, Daly, sporting his Old Glory Loudmouth finest, celebrated America’s birthday by making the cut at the Greenbrier Classic on Friday. As the author of 68-72 at The Old White TPC noted, it was the third consecutive time Daly, still seeking to earn back his tour card, has made it to the weekend stateside.

— John Daly (@PGA_JohnDaly) July 5, 2014 As Long John also observed, the five-time tour winner has gone all Sergio Garcia and Steve Stricker, having his girlfriend, Anna Cladakis, handling the luggage. (Stricker’s wife is a veteran looper and is on the bag for Stricks at Greenbrier, while Katharina Boehm has done the same for Garcia).
it's Intense when ur not a prof caddie & be around world-class players...But I get it!! 2/2 on bag 4 @PGA_JohnDaly http://t.co/6h4GWotLO7
— Anna Cladakis (@JDsACE) June 27, 2014 Even with his burgeoning success, Daly’s pants continue to be the star of his show.

— Loudmouth Golf (@LoudMouthGolf) July 4, 2014 Daly’s attire is so beloved, in fact, that the Irish Open was to honor him with his own “Wacky Trouser Day” until the golfer RSVP’d his regrets and decided to take his talents to the Travelers instead.
Had to WD from IO but 1 alternate for Hartford got to play if I get in so sorry to European tour and the Irish open #toughdecisiontomake
— John Daly (@PGA_JohnDaly) June 16, 2014 The first alternate tied for 57th in Hartford, 71st in Memphis earlier last month, and entered the weekend at even par — nine shots back of 36-hole leader Billy Hurley.
