Texans vs. Giants 2014 picks and predictions: Experts split on Houston in Week 3
Experts are split on whether the Texans can remain undefeated with a win over the Giants.

For the fifth year in a row, Houston has won its first two games of the season. The problem in 2013 was that it lost its next 14 games en route to the worst record in the league. The Texans are confident that they have put last year’s debacle in the rearview mirror, thanks to a punishing ground game that is averaging more than 150 rush yards per game and a defense that has allowed the fewest points in the league.
The winless Giants are one of the worst teams in the league right now, but showed some improvement in their Week 2 loss against the Cardinals. After being held to 197 yards of total offense in their season-opening 35-14 defeat to the Lions, they nearly doubled that output with 341 yards against Arizona. Similar to last season, mistakes have doomed the Giants, who lead the NFL with six turnovers in two games.
CBS Sports slightly favors the Giants to win at home, with five of the eight experts picking New York. ESPN gives the Texans a 9-3 advantage, while both experts at Yahoo! Sports are picking the Giants.
SB Nation’s experts are big into the Texans this week, with Houston holding a 6-1 edge on the Giants.
