Mike Francesa is screaming about the Jets

Until you remember that he is Mike Francesa, it is easy to feel sorry for Mike Francesa.
Here is a man who does not really like sports and really dislikes people, and his job is to be on the radio every day for hours on end, talking about sports to -- and occasionally with, and more often over -- people. Francesa has been successful at this job, but he is also transparently not cut out for it. The job that Mike Francesa is most cut out for is sitting on a white leather couch in an extravagantly air-conditioned home, proudly yelling incorrect answers at an episode of “Jeopardy” playing on a 155-inch television.
But that is not a job, and wouldn’t pay as well as Francesa’s current one anyway. And so it is Francesa’s job to do things like talk about the New York Jets -- a frustrated and frustrating football team -- with individuals like Taylor, who is calling from Staten Island to talk about the Jets. Let’s all watch the Vine up there and see how it’s going.
Okay, great! Let’s all do this again tomorrow for like six hours, and then again the day after that, forever or until that Yelling At Jeopardy job opens up.
