Lenny Kravitz to join Katy Perry for 2015 Super Bowl halftime show
Katy Perry! Lenny Kravitz! Onstage at halftime of the Super Bowl! Like you always wanted!

Katy Perry will be joined by Lenny Kravitz when she takes the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show in February. Perry made the announcement in an interview with NBC's Willie Geist during the broadcast of the Divisional playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Kravitz has made a long career pumping out stadium-friendly rock. It’s almost a surprise he hasn’t appeared in a Super Bowl halftime show before now. This will be the second year in a row that rockers with mass appeal joined a pop headliner as guests. Last season, the Red Hot Chili Peppers performed with Bruno Mars.
Perry was revealed as the halftime show star in November. She has been a popular figure in sports this season, appearing on College Gameday before Ole Miss’ upset of Alabama.
Kravitz perhaps isn’t the hot name he once was, but he did release a new album in 2014 called “Strut” that the NFL’s press release of the announcement claims is pretty good.
Kravitz’s latest albums include the 20th anniversary deluxe edition of his debut, “Let Love Rule,” and his critically acclaimed latest studio release “Strut,” which Rolling Stone Magazine named one of the top albums of 2014.
