Julian Edelman suffered a hip injury Sunday during the AFC Championship between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. He has officially been ruled questionable to return.
Julian Edelman suffers hip injury, questionable to return vs. Colts
The Patriots are ailing at wide receiver, with Julian Edelman out for the time being due to a hip injury.

The injury leaves the Patriots incredibly thin at wide receiver if Edelman is unable to return. Brandon LaFell and Danny Amendola are the only two remaining wideouts who had more than five catches during the regular season. Brian Tyms had exactly five receptions, and Matthew Slater and Josh Boyce have yet to record a catch this season.
Of course, having Rob Gronkowski at tight end helps smooth over a lot of deficiencies in the passing game. Michael Hoomanawanui has also emerged as a reliable target in the postseason. Nobody caught more passes than Edelman for the Patriots this season, however. His absence will be palpable in what could turn into shootout against a Colts offense that likes to throw the ball often with Andrew Luck.
