Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron will miss his second straight game Sunday as he deals with a knee injury. In his absence, the Lions will use Brandon Pettigrew and Tim Wright at the position for their home game against the Chicago Bears. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
Eric Ebron to miss Sunday’s game; fantasy value waning
The Detroit tight end will miss his second straight game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ebron, a 2014 first-round draftee, has 179 yards and two touchdowns on 15 catches this year in four games played. With Ebron sidelined in Week 5, Pettigrew and Wright each caught three passes on five targets. Pettigrew went for 29 yards, while Wright went for 12.
Fantasy impact: Ebron had two touchdowns, 15 targets and almost 100 yards through the season’s first two weeks. He was looking like he had a chance to deliver on some of the promise that made him the 10th overall draft pick a year ago. He seems likely to give it a go in Week 7 when the Lions play the Minnesota Vikings. The problem is, it’s hard to stash an unknown quantity at tight end for an eventual return.
The best bet for a replacement is to look away from Detroit, but if desperate, Wright has a better shot at a touchdown than Pettigrew. Either one, though, would be a dart-throw.
