Melvin Gordon went to the locker room with a left ankle injury at the end of the first quarter against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. He returned in the second quarter and lost a fumble on his second carry since leaving.
Melvin Gordon returns after suffering ankle injury vs. Packers
Melvin Gordon is playing in Wisconsin for the first time since winning the Doak Walker award with the Badgers.

The San Diego Chargers rookie running back had been running well before going out of the game, with a 25-yard gain making up the bulk of his 28 yards.
Branden Oliver is the Chargers’ primary backup should Gordon have to leave again -- perhaps because of his play more so than his healthy -- with Danny Woodhead remaining the third-down option.
Gordon was the No. 15 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, and the second running back taken behind Georgia’s Todd Gurley. Unlike Gurley, however, Gordon has struggling to gain traction on the field. Behind a beat-up and constantly changing Chargers offensive line, he managed just 270 yards at 3.8 yards per carry heading into Sunday.
The game at Lambeau is a homecoming for Gordon. He starred for the Wisconsin Badgers, nearly winning the Heisman Trophy last season after rushing for 2,587 yards and 29 touchdowns.
