Fred Jackson crashed his car into a stop sign outside of the Seattle Seahawks' practice facility Tuesday evening, reports. The running back was uninjured when he was taken back to the team's facility, according to the Seattle Times. Jackson's 2016 Corvette reportedly suffered extensive damage. Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times tweeted pictures from the scene.

Thanks 2 everyone worried about me. I lost control of my car. My teammates, including Marshawn, stopped 2 check on me. They weren't racin me
— Fred Jackson (@Fred22Jackson) October 21, 2015 Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports spoke with a source who also said that Jackson was not drag racing, and that the running back simply pulled out too fast into a turn leaving the facility. Police corroborated those reports with the Seattle Times:
“There is no evidence he was drag racing anyone,” Renton police spokesman David Liebman said. “He was leaving the facility, and he was clearly driving too fast when he hit a street sign.”
In a statement, the police called early reports of drag racing outright “false.”

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 21, 2015 La Canfora's source also said that while other players were nearby at the time, they were not involved in the incident. Fellow running back Marshawn Lynch pulled over, along with other teammates, to check that Jackson was okay, according to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News.
The incident comes just one day after fullback Derrick Coleman was reinstated from a suspension stemming from a hit and run arrest.
Jackson joined the Seahawks this past offseason after being released by the Buffalo Bills. He has thus far had a limited role with the team, with 52 yards rushing and 110 yards receiving through six games. He has rushed for at least 890 yards four times in his nine-year career.
