After missing Washington’s last two games because of a concussion, tight end Jordan Reed came back to action Sunday in a big way. Reed scored twice, including the game-winner, as Washington beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-30.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Jordan Reed has triumphant return
The Washington tight end had missed two straight games before Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Reed was targeted 13 times in the game, catching 11 of them for 72 yards and two scores. That was more than double the targets of anyone else for Washington Sunday, and the most targets Reed has had in a game all season.
Fantasy impact: Reed has been targeted at least six times in every game he’s played this season, averaging just under 10 per game. If DeSean Jackson can ever make it back on the field from his own injury, he’ll steal some of Reed’s targets, but as long as the tight end is healthy, he’ll be a big part of the Washington offense.
The problem with Reed in fantasy has never been his ability or his usage; it’s been his health. That held through Sunday’s game, which bodes well for Reed in Week 9 (Washington has a Week 8 bye). He’s owned in 58 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and that will definitely rise. The problem is that Reed simply can’t be a fantasy owner’s only tight end; his injury risk means you have to have a secondary option.
