It took a few weeks, but Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Stefon Diggs has established himself as a true receiver threat going forward. Diggs solidified his place on Sunday, scoring his first career touchdown in the Vikings’ 28-19 win over the Detroit Lions.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Stefon Diggs has breakout fantasy day
The Minnesota rookie scored his first career touchdown Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Diggs was targeted nine times Sunday, catching six of them for 108 yards and a touchdown. That comes on the heels of 129 yards in Week 6. He was the leading receiver for Minnesota Sunday in all categories. Zach Line, with a single reception for 49 yards, had the second-most receiving yards.
Fantasy impact: Athleticism has never been the problem for Diggs, who has football ability in spades. He’s had some trouble establishing himself at the top level after some off-field issues held him back in college and the draft.
With Charles Johnson disappointing like Cordarrelle Patterson before him, if he can keep this up Diggs has a clear line toward playing time and continued targets.
Despite his performance in Week 6, Diggs is still owned in only 59 percent of Yahoo! fantasy leagues. That number needs to skyrocket -- the rookie should be owned in all leagues. In Week 8, with the Vikings facing the Chicago Bears, he should be started in all leagues, as well.
