Breeders’ Cup Classic 2015 live stream: How to watch American Pharoah’s last race

American Pharoah will try to make history on Saturday afternoon in the $5 million The Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Ky., trying to become the first horse to win the Triple Crown and The Classic in the same season.

American Pharoah already made history with horse racing’s first Triple Crown since 1978, capturing the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes in succession earlier in 2015. But that wasn’t the end for the champion horse, who has run two races since.

At the Haskell Invitational on Aug. 2, American Pharoah beat Keen Ice by two ... lengths, but then on Aug. 29 was upset by Keen Ice in the Travers Stakes. Saturday in Kentucky will mark the final race for American Pharoah, starting from the fourth gate, trying to wipe away the memory of that loss.

Keen Ice starts from the second gate.

“It’s going to be sad for me to see his last race, the last time the saddle goes on his back, a rider on his back, all those things,” American Pharoah trainer Bob Baffert told CNN. “But I just want him to come out healthy and enjoy his next career, because he owes nothing to any of us and we owe the world to him.”

NBCSN starts coverage of the Breeders’ Cup from 1-4 p.m. ET, with NBC taking over for the final two hours. Post time for The Classic is set for 5:35 p.m. Tom Hammond, Jerry Bailey and Laffit Pincay will host for NBC and NBCSN, along with analysts Randy Moss, Bob Neumeier and Eddie Olczyk. Fans can watch online with NBC Sports Extra.
