To say that Ronda Rousey’s loss to Holly Holm on Saturday at UFC 193 was shocking is an understatement. But for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, the loss was very gratifying.
Trump went on Twitter the day after to express his effervescent joy over Rousey’s loss but it seems based on ill will more than anything, noting that Rousey is “not nice.”

Ronda Rousey lost on Saturday night. Perhaps you heard. The former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion was stunned by Holly Holm and was knocked out by a vicious head kick less than a minute into the second round.

Holly Holm shocked the world by upsetting superstar Ronda Rousey with a second round knock out on Saturday night in Melbourne. Rousey, a judo-based fighter, could not get Holm down and lost her UFC title to the former pro boxer.
Holm landed the first blows of the fight, circling away from the advancing Rousey and catching her coming in. But Rousey caught her with a big right hand a minute later and then forced a clinch. Holm escaped and caught Rousey with a kick. Rousey clinched a second time, got Holm down and moved for her patented arm bar but Holm escaped. Holm then began to catch Rousey with straight punches that bloodied the champ. Holm then shocked everyone by getting a take down of her own. Rousey walked back to her corner after the first round bloodied and breathing hard.
